I have been watching a lot of Youtube beauty and skincare videos (you know, because I am busy) and there are certain products that have become cult favourites.I call Youtube video watching research, by the way. So these cult favourites are also insanely expensive here in India. I mean, so expensive your kidney couldn’t pay for it. Which is why when I knew a dear friend was coming here from the US, I asked her to get me these things. There are the usual suspects and there are a few surprises in here. I should be reviewing all of these super soon.
By the way, can I just say, I don’t know why these things are so expensive here? I mean, that Elf Lip Exfoliator you see? Yeah, that retails for 3 dollars. That’s about Rs.200. I go online and check the prices in India and Amazon is selling it at Rs.1000 and then some and so is Ebay. Even if I add shipping, it doesn’t work out Rs.800 for sure.
A quick explanation of the products I got.
I found out about the Studio 35 Beauty Alpha Hydroxy Face Cream entirely by accident. You tubers have been raving about how insane anti-aging it is and all that and I wanted to give it a whirl.
The LA Girl Concealers are another favourite with beauty vloggers and everyone seemed to use one in a tutorial. So, I ordered it.
The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are kind of epic and I have used them and I think you’re a little worse off if you haven’t tried them. I hear you can buy them at the Sephora in Delhi.
The Elf Lip Exfoliator I got because I wanted and almost every Elf Beauty Haul on Youtube had this and I decided it needed to be reviewed.
Due to my love for all things concealing and correcting, I put the NYX Corrector Palette on the list of things I must have. We’ll know how it fares, soon enough.
The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair I wanted desperately. Once I tried the Kiehl’s serum, I was hooked and this one seems like a good bet.
Any comments on what I should review first? Let me know.
