You know what they say right? You should never, ever sleep with makeup on. Unless you are in a Hindi soap and that’s what you are required to do. But no, you are probably not, so you can’t. Or shouldn’t.  It causes breakouts, doesn’t let your skin breathe and basically makes your skin extremely tantrum-y. Which is never a good thing. But it can get extremely frustrating to have a long drawn cleansing routine and sometimes, you would rather just leave it on and then wake up in the morning with some major mascara goop in your eyes and panda eyes. That’s a great look. No really.

Anyway, so if you are sick of having to do so much to take makeup off, I have threw out all the unnecessary stuff and you only have to buy two products and you get going. You’ll thank me when you can hit your bed earlier.

Okay. First up is the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Makeup Removing Micelle Solution. Wow! That is a mouthful. This is micellar solution – which basically means it has oil suspended in the solution. And it is something beauty bloggers and dermatologists around the world swear by. Which obviously means I had to get it. All you have to do is get it on a cotton pad and get cleaning. It gets your skin, literally, squeaky clean. Do you have to wash it off? It depends. You could drop in to your bed right then and you would be fine. I don’t like feeling even an itsy bitsy sticky, so I wash my face.

Here’s a quick review for you.

Feel: It’s different. It doesn’t feel like water, doesn’t feel like oil. It feels like something in the middle.

Fragrance: It has strangely clinical smell. Which I am willing to ignore because it does such a good job.

Price: Rs.800 for 250ml. You can find it at Noble Chemist stores around Mumbai. You can also ask a chemist if he will call for it for you, most of them do this.

Verdict: This is an epic discovery. One that I have loved and enjoyed. There is a slight but and  I discuss this below.

I will say it now. You can use only this one product and be done. No, I am serious. You don’t need anything else.

However, I do find that waterproof makeup takes longer to come off with micellar solution. For waterproof stuff, I turn to these two trusty products of mine.  The L’Oreal Gentle  Makeup Remover for Eyes and Lips or The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye and Lip Makeup Remover. Both of these have separate layers of oil in the bottle and you’ve to shake them up before you use them. These guys are the best things to happen to waterproof makeup. You don’t have to rub (please don’t do that anyway) or pull or tug and the makeup just comes off. Just in case, both of these go from Rs. 500 to Rs. 800. So that’s some extra cash you’ll have to shell out.

Let me say this. You don’t need the extra product. The Bioderma will do just fine. I am impatient. And that’s why I use the other products. Seriously.
