Product Review: Kaya Skin Awakening Rinse and Brightening Eye Serum

The description here is long. I know. But also this is a post about how dermatologists in our country are probably smoking up some very potent stuff. A lady at the Kaya counter was a very good sales person and she convinced I needed a facewash for the morning. Which let me tell you now, you don’t. You never will. A face wash doesn’t know timing and will do its job in the AM and PM. Yeah, so I didn’t need it and you won’t also. She also managed to sell me the Kaya Brightening and Firming Eye Serum promising me it would reduce my dark circles. Now if you don’t know, when someone says erases dark circles I will buy the product before they get to the end of their sentence. Yes, I am extremely gullible. So here’s a review of these two products. Kaya Skin Awakening Rinse Like I said, you don’t need a morning face wash. This fact was further driven home when I started using this product. It does absolutely nothing. …

Product Review: Bed Head Tigi Re-Energize Treatment Mask

Wow, I have been away from the writing bit for a while now. Just been talking a lot on my Youtube channel. Whattey subtle plug! Here it is, in case you want to hop over and subscribe. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6DMSOeu1dcO8H3bSfwA9Zw So, I do like Bed Head Tigi products a lot. And not only because you can read their label while on the pot. It’s really interesting. No, really. But because I genuinely like how they work. So when the PR people offered to send me some products, I was like, hell yeah. Now, I have already used the shampoos from Bed Head- The Urban Anti-Dote shampoo and conditioner (LOVE!) and The Colour Goddess (LOVE! but it hasn’t got a review on the blog)- and I was expecting a lot from this one. Now, even before I got this one, I bought the Small Talk and I didn’t love it. I was quite disappointed because it comes with a heavy price tag. One kidney has been sold already. Anyway, so I spent a couple of weeks with this product …

Product Review: BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo

Before we start, let me tell you this. I am a clean, hygienic person with good grooming habits. But hey, I have a few off days too. Just putting it out there. So there’s a video everywhere I look about BBlunt’s Dry Shampoo where women are spraying this into the air. Yes, air not hair. Obviously, I got curious and clicked on the Buy Now option. And I was whisked away to the Amazon.in website where I ordered it from. Now, here’s the thing. I ordered it because they had created a buzz around it- which is super. But the delivery took more than a week. Such a downer. I thought they would have it in stock and ready to ship. Enough of the delivery talk. Let’s get into the review already. BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo So I really wanted to test this product out. And I wasn’t going to be a wimp and give it hair that had been washed two days ago. Nope. This one was going to have to prove …

Product Review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

I am going to make a confession. These days, it’s almost impossible for me to go past a beauty/skincare shop without making a purchase. Which is good because, you know, I get products to review. But also bad because, you know, I end up being very poor. Anyway, I got this a while ago when my skin was breaking out and looking rather dull. The lady at The Body Shop promised me miracles with this and I was so desperate, I fell for it. But hey, I did try it out at the back of my hand and it seems quite awesome so that could have been a factor. Turns out, I should have paid more attention. Here’s my review of this product. The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion Feel: This is basically a scrub. A scrub with very, very fine granules but a scrub nonetheless. And it feels like sandpaper when you apply it to your face. And for that reason, I think if you go in too vigorously, it could be too abrasive and …

Product Review: Innisfree Best Loved Collection

Korean beauty and skincare is a real thing. It’s what bloggers around the world swear by (well, some anyway) and anything the Koreans do becomes an instant hit. Even if it is makeup for hooded eyes which most of the others aren’t lucky enough to have. Aren’t they the cutest? Anyway, Innisfree is a brand from Korea which is only 6 years old and is known for being natural and environment-friendly. They put their heart and Seoul into that philosophy. Yes, I put that entire sentence in only for that pun. Moving on. You know I was in Delhi right? So I was just going around the Galleria Market in Gurgaon and they had an Innisfree store right there. And because it was right there, I had to walk in. And I ended up buying two face masks which I am still to use. But. I did get samples of their ‘Best Loved Collection’  for becoming a member. So I used those and here’s a review.   Innisfree Orchid Enriched cream Feel: This anti-aging (a claim …

Product Review: Lush Angels on Bare Skin

When I went to Dubai this time, I happened to walk past a Lush store which smelled all sorts of beautiful. Now, being the smell person that I am, I simply had to walk in. They are a fun bunch at Lush in Dubai Mall. Dancing, laughing and generally being a good mood which basically puts you in a good mood which makes you want to spend much more. Now, I wasn’t going to buy anything when I walked in but then I have been looking for an everyday scrub for a while and so, I asked one of the ladies about it. She put the Angels in Bare Skin on me after she asked me for my skin type which I said was mostly normal but occasionally dry. I also said I was looking for something gentle for everyday use. She did put the Ocean Salt one on me but I found it too harsh. And I ended up buying this one. And the spray, which I will do a review on. Anyway, on …

Product Review: NYX Lip Creams and Corrector Palette

Yes, yes, I have been away. But with good reason. My brother got engaged! *twirls and passes candy around* Anyway, that kept me busy and also I was up to a bunch of other things. But I am back. By the way, I am planning to go a makeup artistry course- it’s kind of expensive- you think I should do it? Comment and let me know. So, you saw my Youtube Inspired Beauty Haul right? And it had the NYX Corrector Palette and the NYX Lip Creams. Now, I have been using the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams for a while now and I absolutely swear by these for daily use. They are pretty fantastic. Anyway, on to the reviews (because you know, I haven’t given away anything with the previous line). NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp and Istanbul Feel: Let me tell your right away that it the feel is pretty amazeballs. It’s super matte but doesn’t dry your lips out. At all. That’s saying something for a matte lip colour. And the …
