App Review : Zooty, Beauty and Salon Deals

You’ve probably heard of Ziffi. Well, recently they went to the dressing room and got themselves a snazzy makeover. They come with a fun name now- Zooty – but you can still get some great salon deals on the app. Since this was right up my alley, they got in touch with me and I was pretty gung ho about doing the review. So, here’s what I thought. They have an okayish rating but that could be because they changed and all. The interface is quite cool and colourful and that is my thing so I was instantly drawn to it. Even the heart icon they use is quite fun. Also, while loading, the slide screens are doing their thing.   Then, you must sign in, which is kind of a bummer because I would really like to see what they’ve on offer before I make that kind of commitment. And they ask your gender as well.   Once you’ve given them all this info,┬áit instantly takes into account where you are located and suggests …

App + Salon Service Review: Timesaverz

I have been away and travelling to shop for my brother’s wedding which happens in September. Also, I was under the weather and covered with 4 blankets. Not fun. I got an email from the people over at Timesaverz who said they wanted me to try out their beauty services to which I promptly agreed. Then, I had to leave town and unless the beauty lady came tagging along which would be slightly awkward, this would have to wait. So I decided to have the service later. And I did. Here’s my review of the app and the beauty services provided. They gave me a Rs.1000 beauty voucher to use. I used the code they gave me in their app when I booked the appointment. I downloaded their app for to test things out. So, before you say anything at all the app asks you where you live. And then you hope that your area is included in 294 places that it serves. I made it through and went straight to the beauty services. I …

App Review: Healthify me

If you don’t know already, my brother is getting married and I have decided to get in shape for it. It is 6 months away but I have the control of a dog in heat and I don’t trust myself to be on the wagon that long. But that’s what I thought I was doing. At this point in time, I am sitting here burping lovely burps of masala pav that was laden with cheese. So that plan isn’t exactly on track. Anyway, when I had the enthusiasm, (about 8 days or so ago) I downloaded the HealthifyMe app. This is an app that promises to make your healthier. It does say it’s a weight loss coach but I think it’s a bit of a tall claim. Notice that I say healthier and not weighing less, necessarily. Of course, I wanted to do a review and I took screenshots. There are lots of apps that help you with your fitness plan, but I was looking for one that was specifically skewed towards the Indian audience …

HolaChef App Review + Food Quality Review

The other day I was sitting around and thinking about world peace and other important things. Haha. Not really. I was basically spread out on the couch thinking, I want really good food for lunch. Then, I was like, but I am going to be heathy and order salad. Of course, that plan went downhill pretty quickly. So then I settled for a yum lunch the next day. And I downloaded HolaChef – the app. And here’s how that went. v HolaChef asks for your pincode as soon as you log in. This is because (I assume) they give you food that is made by chefs in your area. You can book a meal for the same day or for the next. You get discount for booking it earlier to I grabbed that opportunity quite quickly. You can choose which meal – lunch, dinner or flavours (because other meals come without flavours) but the times are clearly mentioned. There’s a lot of variety available. You can choose from set meals – parathas and curries, rice …
