There are that many lipsticks a woman can have. Okay, that’s a crappy joke. A woman can have many lipsticks and not like them and have many that she likes. The L’Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pen is not a likeable one. Mainly because it fails to deliver on its promise which is to stick to the lips.
This L’Oreal Paris lip pen comes in a twist up tube which is quite decent and the colour of the packaging is the shade of the product inside. Like this one is called ‘Matte About Me’ and is a purplish pink and that’s exactly how the tube looks. The twist up pen is a great idea and works well. You can twist down and put the product back into the tube as well.
Now here’s where this L’Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pen falters- in performance. One swipe of the product does not have enough pigment to ensure that your lip colour doesn’t peek through. Because I have pigmented lips, I had to use 2-3 swipes for enough product. The good thing? Your lips won’t feel super dry. And that’s pretty much the only good thing. It transfers even after you’ve given it enough time to settle, it won’t even survive a meal and lasts on the lips for an hour at best. After that, it starts to separate from the middle of the lips, settling into the lip lines in ugly chunks. I recommend spending your Rs.750 on something else. Yeh product ko le mat. Hahah, you see what I did there?
L’Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pen
The Good: Won’t dry out your lips too badly
The Bad: It lasts for about an hour at best and is expensive
The Ugly: Comes off in weird chunks on the lips. Eww.
