You read that right. For Rs.550, you can get a foundation from Colorbar that makes marks disappear. Like a bad bf. Such a horrible analogy.
Okay, I know. There are somethings money can’t buy. Like love. Or logic. Or anything remotely decent at Starbucks. But this your money can buy and it’s good.
So, I happened to accidentally discover this foundation. Okay, that I love makeup *may* have played a role in it. But I was at the Colobar store the other day for these makeup workshops that they are conducting. So they had an eyeliner one. Which is when the lady used this on me and I was like, what is this? This is gorgeous. And she showed me this one.
The product comes in a standard silver packaging and is really no frills. The product is in a hard tube, if you will, but comes out without any squeezing. There’s no pump so that’s a bit of a bummer but most of the products in this price range come with pretty basic packaging.
When you squeeze out product, you get a dollop which isn’t too runny but not super thick as well. You may call it, perfect consistency. The Colorbar Aquafeel Pro Foundation comes in , wait for it, 3 shades. It’s not shady business for Colorbar. With companies like Fenty and Huda Beauty coming in 40 shades and the like, 3 shades is tooo less. Add to this the fact that I am the darkest shade and I am not that deep (coloured or in life) and this foundation, though epic, fails on the shade range front.
The product goes on super smooth but I suggest going in quickly with your damp beauty sponge or brush to ensure you’ve got great blending. One layer is enough for sheer to medium coverage. The foundation literally sinks into the skin and isn’t tacky or stick. The wear time isn’t great though. It tends to move and leave the skin in areas where you touch it. Like around the nose, for me. But for Rs.550, I think this one is worth the greens. Also, it has a slight orange undertone that brightens up the skin. Love!
