Let me tell you this. Blogging may seem like a lot of fun and all that but it involves being broke a lot of the time. So, recently when I managed to get a little money in the bank (I did a lot of freelancing), I made my first luxurious purchase.  And I am so glad I picked this one- the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

You know I am a sucker for good-smelling products, right? Yes, so I am. So obviously, I go around sniffing products before I make a purchase. I also check a lot of reviews. And this one came with mixed reviews. But then, it was also all natural , so, you know. How do you even resist that? I mean, if at some point I am asked to throw some leaves on my face, I might be the first one to volunteer for these things.

Anyway, here’s my review.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Feel: This is a serum or a face oil but doesn’t feel too heavy to apply. Once you put it on, it disappears in mere minutes and feels like it’s gone right to the bottom to heal you from the inside. Or this is something I believe happens. It feels super luxurious.

A caveat here: The first few times I applied this, it did feel slightly itchy or tingly but not overly so. This went away after the first few days. Also, use this after your cleansing and toning routine for best results.

Fragrance: Guys, this smells a little like heaven. By heaven, I mean, like lavender and that’s nice. Very nice.

Price: Rs.3500 for 30ml

Verdict: I woke up with visibly cleaner skin. Okay, this product is not anti-aging, so don’t get confused. But it does make skin feel softer and clears out any small spots, so I fully believe int it. Plus, I tried it on a friend who got a pimple and it got smaller the NEXT morning. It was like magic. Don’t expect lesser lines or higher pores but expect cleaner, nicer skin.

Where did I buy it from? From the Kiehl’s store at the Palladium mall in Mumbai

Destress Quotient: 4 AAHs

This bit is important: Here’s how you use this. You take two drops on your palm, rub them together and then put your palms on your face dabbing the product in. How I do it? I put 4 drops on my face. Dot my face and then gently tap the concentrate into my face and it works for me.

So 3500 seems like a bit much for 30ml right? Well, it takes only 2 drops everyday and it should last you atleast 3 months. That works out to only Rs.1200 or so a month and that’s not too bad is it?
