I love smell of roses. It wasn’t always like this. But then I discovered Chloe (perfume) and it’s kind of the most epic fragrance out there. And it’s the one that made me fall in love. With roses. Anyway, basically my entire perfuming routine involves products that have this fragrance.
As it happens, I was walking past the Kama Ayurveda store the other day and I popped in (because who walks past beauty products like that? They have feelings) and kind of walked around the store. I didn’t love anything but I was looking to replace my current toner (a crappy Sephora one which gave me tiny bumps) and thought I would buy the rosewater which is supposed to be a natural toner. So I bought the Kama Ayurveda Pure Rosewater.
Here’s the review.
Kama Ayurveda Pure Rosewater
Feel: It feels like mist which is how this product should feel, technically atlas. Two pumps should cover your entire face. But, yes there is a but, there waay too much water or something with it, so it feels like it just sits there. No tightening of pores or even some evenness- nothing.
So I know that this possibly only has water and roses but I would still like to see an ingredient list. Which is strangely missing. Also, products that are supposedly in the same category – the Dabur Gulabari- retail at Rs.75 or somewhere around there. They should be bringing their A game but it doesn’t happen.
Fragrance: It smells like roses but only gently so. If you are a fan of products that are mildly fragranced, you might like this one. But you will also have to be a fan of products that do absolutely nothing.
Price: Rs. 250 for 50ml
Verdict: Nope. Nada. Absolutely not. Don’t buy this unless you really need I don’t know softly aromatic water. And thank god I didn’t buy the 500ml one which retails for some Rs.750+.
Destress Quotient: 0.5 AAHs
