So most stumped by style moments are quite befuddling. But this is quite a bit of an annoyance as well. This stumped by style that we are discussing today.
I don’t wear sarees at all. I love them and they look gorgeous on women but I look like a barrel of roundedness and that’s not pretty. Also, I look older, so basically no. However, that didn’t stop me from getting stumped by style with the peek a boob trend. It’s not even a trend. It’s a draping style that’s , I am not sure…, weird?
This is where you wear a saree (and blouse) and drape the pallu over one boob but leave the other high and dry. While one snuggles comfortably, the other boob is like an outlaw that’s being punished. Now, I am all for personal justice systems but it seems a little harsh. And it’s always the same boob that’s getting left out and I do think that one boob can’t be doing everything wrong.
Peek a boob drapes find a lot of favour with celebrities. I am not sure that this style has found so much enthusiasm because of stylists who love one boob displays or because celebrities want to play up their best (if fake) assets. You see what I did there? But, this is one stumped by style moment that’s a mild annoyance and not just me. There have got to be others like me who don’t support this? I am such a pun lover.
The question is, would you drape your saree like this? Allow family members to? Or do you treat your breasts equally? Let me know in the comments.
