Now, we know working out is good for us and keeps us fit and strong and all that. But working out also has other benefits. Like you end up saving money. Okay, now don’t expect to buy a house with the money you save but really, you could end up throwing some major moolah into your piggy bank. Here’s how.
- Cramping your style
Being fat or overweight comes with having to invest in major shape wear. You need something to pull the tummy in, something to make the butt look smaller, another piece to make your thighs look slimmer etc. You get the drift. And every time you wear this ‘shape wear’, you can choose to either look skinny or pass out from not being able to breathe. Plus, they slide up and you end up with awkward bumps.
Working out means you lose your muffin top or love handles, thighs look skinner etc. etc. Which means you easily save 700-800 bucks. And money is great right? Yes.
2. All glown up
Working out causes you to sweat and release toxins from your system. It’s almost like getting a mini-facial. Because you are all pumped up and your blood is flowing, your skin will glow. Not just that, you have lesser dark circles, fewer breakouts and what not. And that can never be a bad thing. Plus, you have to invest in less potions and lotions for the skin which can be such a drain on the finances.
3. I am such a moodie
Getting your adrenaline pumping and your metabolism going also means more endorphins- the hormones that make you happy. And how can being happy ever suck? You end up being less stressed, less worried and less irritable. Most importantly, you won’t get cravings for cupcakes and cookies which can put you on a guilt trip. It’s a win-win.
4. That’s sick
Going out and getting your heart to do some major work also boosts your immune system. It’s like your workout is fighting the flu and the cold and chasing those headaches away. It also means you won’t be scampering for your flu meds or popping any kind of pills which should make you feel much better anyway.
You get better sleep. And you wake up refreshed and not wanting to crawl back into bed. Yes, working out can do that to you. You sleep deeper, you sleep better and you wake up refreshed because the quality of your sleep is ace. Of course, you have to get your 8 hours of zzzs, there’s no working around that. You won’t have to hit the snooze button. Yay.
