So the year is coming to an end and this is a fabulous time for all of us. We can dress up, party, drink ridiculous amount of alcohol and generally have a fabulous time with friends and family.
To end this year on a high note, here’s my pick of the best beauty buys of 2015. I say beauty buys because these products have probably been around for a while but 2015 is when I fell in love with them. In no particular order, here they are:
- Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
You know I love this product- I dedicated an entire review to it here. The smell, the work it does- fabulous overall. Yes, it’s pricey but I fell in love with what it had to offer and have been using it ever since I bought it. That says a lot for someone who tends to get bored pretty quickly.
2. Illuskin Facial Primer from Oriflame (The One range)
I don’t think I have raved about this product enough. I have a bit but this needs a dedicated post *note to self*. I love it. It makes my skin look dewy and fresh and shiny in all the right places. For Rs. 500 plus some for a pop, you won’t regret buying this one.
3. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
I have these in Istanbul and Antwerp and I am usually raving about how good these are. I am sure they have been around for a while but 2015 was when I started using them regularly and I have been hooked ever since. It doesn’t dry out my lips and the colour payoff is fantastic.
4. Shu Uemura Eye Color Pencil
I came across this brand in a shopping mall in Malaysia and when I researched it online, it was most known for its cleansing oils. Since I didn’t want to invest in those, I got myself these Eye Color pencils in shades I have never seen before. The green and yellow tend to look similar but still, such cool shades na?
5. Colorbar Nail Lacquer in Bloody Mary
You know I love my manicures. And I can’t step out of a salon without getting my nails painted. I do try their shades but if don’t have any that I like I always carry my Bloody Mary. It’s the right shade between red and orange and looks really pretty on my hands. Give it a go. Plus, it stays on for 3 days (that’s long) and the paint hasn’t thickened yet.
